Cell phones have now become so much more than just chatter devices, cell phones are able to take pics, play movies (and videogames !), construct e-mail, surf the internet, and help one navigate the city or even get to one. Even though the label persists, most cellular telephones are really convergence devices, a class of personal electronics envisioned some 20 to thirty years ago (or even more back, if a person is to take into account comics and cartoons) that will probably do just about anything necessary. In another decade or two, we may possibly even expect advanced sensors built in to diagnose common ailments!
